There are literally hundreds of colourful activities and spectacles throughout the year, often organised by cultural institutes and international organisations. There are concerts, exhibitions, dancing, fringe theatre, gigs, fairs, processions and much more. We have provided a selection of events that will be added to throughout the year as we become aware of new things that Euronet Members might be interested in. Send us your suggestions. 7 - 11 August 2007- Great British Beer Festival Organised by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), this is the UK's largest beer festival with over 450 real ales plus cider, perry and international beer. There are incredible items on sale, from working chandeliers to strung tennis rackets, and the display houses are truly astonishing. June through summer 2008 - Morris Dancing, Westminster Abbey
Thursday, 10 July 2008 - Vintners’ Procession, Upper Thames Street Members of the Worshipful Company of Vintners march in a procession through the City of London. At the front of the procession, two men in white smocks and top hats sweep the street with twig-brooms. This custom began in the days when London's streets were covered with dirt, and the vintners did not want to slip in the mess! For suggestions and feedback, please email contact@euronet-london.com |
